National Banana Split Day!!
Before getting started, let’s touch on some quick tips and fun facts about bananas. Did you know that if you ventured out into the wild and found bananas, they would naturally have seeds? Those little black seeds you see in the store bought bananas are immature seeds that won't develop. Also, if you wrap the stems when bananas are in a bunch, this will help keep them fresher longer. On the other hand, separating bananas will help them to ripen faster. Once ripe, try peeling bananas from the bottom. This will help reduce or eliminate those extra stringy pieces from lagging on the edible portion.
Now, go make yourself a reasonably portioned banana split. I only advise you to try using Nice Cream (banana ice cream, check out my post from 5/28/20 for a recipe https://rivercafes.com/wellness/wellness-blog/nice-cream/), nuts and nut butters, berries, and dark chocolate. What can be better?!
