The Underrated Seed
If you’re looking for a plant-based protein aside from nuts and beans, look towards hemp. Just 2-3 tablespoons provides 11 grams of complete protein. About 25% of calories in hemp comes from protein, which is pretty high.
Another noteworthy benefit to hemp is fat, but the good kind. I’m talking about omega-3 fatty acids or alpha-linoleic acids which are widely known for its roles in brain and heart health.
I could go on and on about the greatness of hemp but would rather focus my energy on this quick and simple homemade hemp milk recipe.
