Tea Time

Tea provides a good source of flavonoids which is extremely beneficial in supporting heart health. Just two to three cups provides 200-500 milligrams. For best flavor, keep your teas in their original, airtight packaging and store in a cool, dry place. When stored correctly, the flavonoids in the tea will remain stable.

Whether hot or cold, tea also counts towards your fluid consumption and helps keep you hydrated during these hot summer days. That’s because tea is more than 99% water. There is approximately 20-50 milligrams of caffeine in the average cup, which is less than half of tea’s counterpart coffee. The possibilities of tea concoctions are endless but iced black tea, honey, basil and mint in my opinion is tearrific!
